Where can you set up? Is there additional fees for stairs/far distance areas?

We can set up almost anywhere except: On sand or near water (like the beach) On loose dirt or gravel In direct sunlight without shade In wet areas For park setups: Contact the park in advance to find out what’s needed for setup. Outdoor setups: A covered tent is required to protect our equipment. We also recommend additional shade or a pavilion/patio to keep kids comfortable, as it can get very hot in direct sunlight. Important setup rules: The ground must be flat, dry, and free of glass or debris. We do not set up on dirt, gravel, or rocks—this is for the safety of the children. No exceptions. Recreation centers: They will likely require COI (certificate of insurance) named to the facility and for your specific event. Please send us an email so we can send to the facility directly. There is no additional charge for this. We are a preferred vendor at Hawaii Okinawan center. Good news: There’s no extra charge for stairs or long distances. Our service includes mileage, delivery, setup, and breakdown.
Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?

Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units. Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time. If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation. If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. rough horseplay on wooden equipment, using sharp objects to puncture toys, sharpie/drawings that cannot be removed) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of items which can cost hundreds of dollars. We don't want you or us to be in that situation which is why we have you sign and initial on all of our safety rules so that you can make the announcement at your event.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

As parents, we know plans can change, so we try to be flexible with our cancellation policy. Here’s how it works: Cancellations Made More Than Two Weeks (14 days) Before the Event: If you cancel at least two weeks before the event, you get a full refund of your deposit and any payments made. Cancellations Made Between One and Two Weeks (7-14 days) Before the Event: If you cancel between one and two weeks before the event, you won't get a refund. But you can use your deposit to reschedule your event within three months from the original booking date, subject to availability. We hope this policy helps you feel at ease when booking your event. If you have any more questions or need help, feel free to contact our customer service team. Rescheduling is base on availability and must be requested no less than ONE WEEK before the event.
Is this suitable for our bigger keiki?

Our adventure and play rentals are designed specifically for little ones under 6 years old, so that they have a safe place to crawl and play with toys. However, we have awesome references for larger items that would be perfect for bigger keiki! Let us know, and we’ll be happy to share those recommendations with you. Check out our packages on this site & browse our Instagram @adventureandplay to make sure our play gym meets your needs. We aim to please, but we may not fit your wants... although we will try our best!
Is there a cleaning fee?

Adventure & Play by ART will retain some/all your security deposit on the following: A) Large amount of Ball pit balls missing B) Stains, spills, or food in play area or on play equipment C) Equipment is taken apart or moved without prior approval from Adventure & Play by ART D) Equipment is wet, including the bottom of the mats Otherwise, cleaning is included in your rental
Do I need electricity?

None of our items require electricity.
What are the rules the children must follow?

Children must be always supervised by adults while using any of the play equipment. No shoes of any kind allowed play area Absolutely NO PETS on the play equipment No food, drink or chewing gum on or around any of the play equipment. This will avoid a choking risk and keep the unit clean. No playdough, facepaint, slime, markers, crayons, sharp objects, party poppers, colored streamers or silly string to be used either on or near the equipment. (Please note these products will cause damage to the equipment) Please control and/or refrain from diving into the ball pit Always ensure that the equipment is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of the children using it. Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time. Ensure Children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others. Play areas are designed for children under 6 years only! Do not remove equipment from play area
What happens if it may rain?

If you have an outdoor event planned, we strongly suggest setting up an indoor backup. Our staff won't set up equipment outside during rain, thunder, or lightning, as it can cause safety risks and damage to our equipment. Even if the rain stops before your event, we stick to our policy for safety and proper setup. Make sure to have a backup plan to avoid weather-related disruptions. We highly advise that you reschedule your event for the next available date. If you decide to reschedule your event upon our availability, all monies will be transferred over to your new date and time. If you choose to cancel your event and not reschedule you will forfeit your non-refundable deposit and all other monies will be refunded.
Set up and Break down time

We require at least one hour to set up before your event and another hour to break down and clean up afterward. These setup and cleanup times are not part of your 4 hours of playtime. Example: If your party starts at 5 PM, we will begin setup no later than 4 PM. If your party ends at 10 PM, we will begin breakdown at 9 PM. If you’d like to extend playtime to cover your entire party, you can select the additional hour option during the booking process.
