How It All Started
Adventure and Play was inspired by my own experiences as a mom. Like many parents, I’ve spent countless weekends at parties where the entertainment was more suited for older kids. I remember how nerve-wracking it was watching little ones, including my own, try to join in the fun in giant jumpers filled with big kids. At Trey and Abby’s 1st birthday, even with bounce houses, magic shows, popcorn, and shave ice, I realized the birthday boy and girl had little to do other than being wheeled around in a stroller.

As parents of young children, social events often come with added stress:

Most restaurants aren’t baby-friendly, cutting catch-up time with friends short.

Parties and events often cater to older kids, leaving little ones out.

Even a simple visit to a friend’s house can bring anxiety about sharp corners and breakable decor.
Sometimes, it feels easier to skip events altogether to avoid the stress of figuring out, “What are we going to do with the baby for 3 hours?”

Hi there! I’m Mhy, founder of Adventure and Play. I was born in the Philippines but grew up right here in Hawaii—Exit 8 to be exact! My husband and I both work full-time jobs, but we love running Adventure and Play on weekends with our older kids. It’s not just a business; it’s a family venture that’s helping us teach our children about entrepreneurship, time management, budgeting, building wealth, cleanliness, and top-notch customer service. Plus, the four-hour rental period gives us a chance to have some fun too—whether it’s grabbing a meal at new spots, chilling at the park, or joining in the party for a bit.
